First Annual dev.Globus All-Hands Meeting: May 22-24 Chicago Illinois

What: The first annual dev.globus all-hands meeting. This meeting will provide an opportunity for the dev.globus community to get together, exchange experiences, get updated on the latest dev.globus activities and developments.

When: May 22-23, 2007

  • On May 24 Individual project meetings may be arranged.


Where: Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago, IL USA. 221 (aka MCS) building.

  • Visitor information for Argonne National Laboratory Site Map
  • Directions to get to meeting inside of Argonne:
    1. Come in through main gate and turn right.
    2. Follow road to stop sign and turn right.
    3. At four way stop, 221 is in front of you on your right. Park in the lot in front of you on your left.
    4. Walk across the street to 221 and look for meeting signs on doors.
    5. Meetings will be in room A216

Who: Any dev.globus committer is welcome.

To register: Please see the Registration section below. Registration deadline is April 13th.

Lodging: Please make your own arrangements. The Argonne Guest House is recommended as it is on-site.

4:00pm Town Hall Meeting. Discussion of dev.globus issues. (Ian Foster, Argonne, Jennifer Schopf, Argonne and Von Welch, NCSA moderators).

May 24

Inidividual project meetings. To request space for your project to meet, please send email to Von Welch. Currently scheduled meetings are:

  • GMC 9am-Noon Building 221 Room D124
  • Security Day 8:30am-1:30pm Building 221 Room C101

Registration and Housing

To register please add your name to the registration list. If you need to get a wiki account please send mail to infrastructure@globus.org with your preferred used name and the name of the project to which you are a committer, please cc the project chair. Registration deadline is April 13th.

Note that if you are Not a US Citizen, please follow the directions here as soon as possible for additional instructions.

Registration to be $150, either cash or check to "University of Chicago", and will be collected on-site. Registration will cover lunches, breaks and the dinner activity on the 22nd. This will be collected on-site.

Please make your own lodging arrangements. The Argonne Guest House is recommended as it is on-site.
